‘May’ we Spring up
Hello everyone and welcome back to another blog post! The title doesn’t make much sense but then our current global lockdown is turning into the new normal. Nevertheless, try to stay healthy, get some sun but with good social distancing.
FOOTSTOCK
A lot has happened for Footstock in April. The biggest of them all is the introduction of Virtual tournaments now live for us users to enter our cards like we did previously when football was on.
Virtual Tournaments
As well as entering tournaments, the team behind the platform has built a monstrous game engine for us faithful users to watch the game before revealing the final score of the tournaments. This is literally great times and one of our popular users, Girty, watches the match on his monitor in a relaxing style.
Is it just me that does this? ππ³@Foot_Stock When can we get the crowd noise added so I'm even more immersed?#Footstock pic.twitter.com/viuEFAS59X

How did I do?
I think I did reasonably well. As well as keeping an eye on the PPG, I also have to bare in mind of each team’s form before lockdown too. Of course you need to consider upsets and possibly be FM’d. Meaning your team is winning in all departments but they still lost 1-0 with the opposition scoring on injury time with their 1st shot! Below are my Virtual Tournament stats for the whole of April 2020:-
- Total Tournament Winnings – Β£89.07
- Entries paid – Β£29.00
- Profit – Β£60.07
Any tactics?
Following one of my previous post, Money Management & Tactful Tournament Taste, I noted my tournament entries like a journal to help me figure out what I could improve. Here’s a snippet of some the ones that I won:-
I made notes on what I should do to possibly win more on the above. I also made plenty of notes for when I didn’t win below:-
You could see I added plenty of tips to myself like ‘Careful with CHE’ and ‘No D.De Gea’. To remind me that I haven’t had luck with. So for the whole of May 2020 Virtual Tournaments, I’m going to employ these:-
- Avoid backing CHE, CRY, ARS, MUN, AST to win
- Careful with backing NEW, SHE, WAT, LIV to win
- Avoid choosing R.Fraser, O.Duda, S.Haller, Bernard, Ox, MCI GK & DEF
Just keeping a little journal for yourself helps you identify your mistakes too.

Streets of Rage 4 is classic sequel beat ’em up would give you the nostalgic feel. You can co-op with friends and family. Available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
VIDEO TO WATCH β Akira (1988)
I’m going for a proper old school Japanese Manga. One of the GOAT in terms of Anime.
VIDEO TO WATCH (KIDS) β The Singing Walrus
This YouTube channel contains brilliant songs about learning numbers, letters and also good habits. There are videos about learning to write ABC which worked very well for my son.
Recipe TO TRY β Pei Pa Tofu
One of my favourite dish from my Hong Kong heritage. Since no Chinese restaurants are opening, why not give this go.
